Behind The Scenes- Updating Grace Notes

Don’t have a new song ready yet. Just wanted to point out some behind-the-scenes changes to the website. Up until this recent weekend, the menu items have been catch as catch can, some pages not done, and the site incomplete.

This weekend, I finally finished adding menu items from the to-do list. Then got them organized. Now from left to right we have ‘Home’, ‘Free Sheet Music’, ‘Play All Songs’, ‘Requests’, ‘Pianos & Keyboards’, ‘Sitemap’, ‘About Me’, and ‘Privacy Statement’.

Starting a couple of weekends ago I finally got the free sheet music page posted, which was a great relief- it’s been on the list for a long time. Last weekend saw the inclusion of a full and conveniently organized site map. The right-hand sidebars have always had “Categories” and “Recent Posts”, but it seemed very limited. The Site Map is a much better way to quickly see what’s on the site. And it’s organized by category. (I love Word Press and Plug-ins!)

That went so well, I decided to finally build an Amazon A-Store. As much as I love and recommend my Yamaha DGX-640, not everybody wants the same thing. Different budgets, space requirements and personal goals have a bearing on what’s right for you. So now I have a menu titled “Pianos & Keyboards” that shows all the digital pianos, electronic keyboards, and accessories available at Amazon. All gathered into convenient categories. Makes it easier to do your ‘due diligence’ when researching which instrument you want.

And… to be honest… if you buy anything through my link, I get a small commission. Something to help keep this site up and running. If you’d prefer not to help out (and really, that’s okay… we can still be friends) then I’d recommend going directly to Amazon, or doing a Google search.

So, now you know where I’ve been the last couple of weeks. Hopefully I’ll have a new song up within the next week. In the meantime, thanks for visiting!
